MCA #1, Tuesday Evening

Lulu was bustling around the kitchen, preparing various ingredients, while she waited for Liir to show up.

There was a pot of orange spice cocoa on the stove, simmering away, for when he got there. The aroma was wafting through the apartment, and probably out into the hallway, as well.

"Hi there! I'm Mike Cannon from #3. I thought I'd stop by say hi," said Mike, who very carefully kept his eyes on Lulu's face after sneaking just a peek at the rest of her. Years of working with the girls back in Vegas had him very well-trained.

Years of... well, years of being Lulu meant that she still caught the peek, but it's not like she's unused to it -- and he was being very good about it after the peek, so. "Lulu," she introduced herself. "My roommate Jean-Paul is around here somewhere, as well." ... And likely to be a bit appreciative. "Would you like to come in? I have some cocoa on the stove."

"I would definitely like some cocoa," said Mike, flashing a grin as he entered the apartment. "Nice place. How long have you lived here?"

"Since the beginning of September," Lulu explained. "I came to the island to teach Sex Ed, although this semester I'm teaching the cooking class." She lead him into the kitchen and poured him a mug of the delicious, delicious orange spice cocoa.

And then pulled the tin of cookies from her cleavage. "Oral sex?" she asked, opening the container and holding it towards Mike.

"That's quite a range, from Sex Ed to cooking," said Mike. "I'm teaching computing, although I've done everything from surveillance to singing before coming here to teach. I've got lots of possibilities for my next class."

Mike's mind was going to a very happy place. "Bwuh?"

"It is," Lulu said, "and, in fact, I only properly got interested in cooking since my arrival in Fandom. But I've discovered that I really rather enjoy it; I've learned a lot in the last few months. More than enough to teach it, I would say. And it does rather sound like you've got just as broad a range of knowledge as I do."

She laughed. "The cookies. They're called Oral Sex -- chocolate and hazelnut, you see."

"I find it's important to be well-educated on a wide variety of subjects," said Mike.

"That really is a very interesting name," he added, taking a cookie and nibbling on it. "Mmm, just as good as they sound, too."

"I'm rather particularly fond of them myself," Lulu replied. "I was quite delighted when I found the recipe online."

She sat on one of the stools at the counter, gesturing that Mike should feel free to seat himself. "How are you finding Fandom?" she asked.

"Well, the people are a lot friendlier than Las Vegas, but I find people keep trying to warn me about the weirdness," said Mike. "And then there is the actual weirdness. It helps that a friend of mine has been living here for a while, though."

"I find it much easier to assume that anything could happen here," Lulu said, even as Onion Knight toddled into the room and clambered up onto one of the stools. "Of course, my world is not quite so... mundane... as the worlds of some of the other people come to Fandom."

"I never, in a million years, would have thought of Las Vegas as mundane, but the past week has me reconsidering a few things," said Mike as he watched Onion Knight. "Of course, my last boss actually used 'Anything Can Happen' as our new motto. Guess I really need to take that to heart."

"Unless Las Vegas occasionally sees invasions ranging from dinosaurs to three-inch-tall knights, yes, you might have to consider that motto in a new way." Lulu chuckled softly.

"Dinosaurs? No kidding?" asked Mike nervously.

"They were a little bit before my time," Lulu said, "but yes, by all reports there were dinosaurs on the island." ... Not, admittedly, that creatures like that were unfamiliar to Lulu, but she understood that they were an oddity here on Earth.

"No, I believe it," said Mike. "My friend sent me a picture last summer of what looked like a dinosaur. I thought she was goofing around."

Lulu shook her head. "No, in fact, this place is... decidedly odd. And I say this coming from a world where people turn into monster when they die, if their spirits aren't sent on to the afterlife by a summoner."

"At least I'll never be bored," said Mike.
