MCA #1, Monday Afternoon
Apr. 28th, 2008 09:35 pmThere was a mug of steaming tea on the coffee table, sending up waves of sharp fragrance: peppermint, citrus, and a little raspberry. On the couch beside it was a curled up Lulu, her feet beneath her, a book in front of her, as she enjoyed a quiet moment to herself amid the hectic craziness of the weekend.
She should perhaps ask herself why it was so quiet at that moment, but she was new enough to motherhood that the thought didn't occur to her. She'd left Bell amusing himself, making more kiwis, and she trusted him (not entirely without reason) to keep himself out of other trouble for now.
[For anyone who might have a reason to be in the apartment! No, I don't know why it's quiet, either. ;) ]
